New WEBSDR SERVER

NEW WEBSDR SERVER

We have installed the new WEBSDR server facilitated by P.T. from Boer, Netherlands (pa3fwm@websdr.org). A WEBSDR’s a Software-Defined Radio receiver connected to the internet, which allows multiple users to hear and tune independently at the same time.

SDR technology allows any remote users can tune the interest broadcasting station within the band at the same time. The classic version of the physical radio receiver allows a single simultaneous user.

It is based on the use of multiple USB receivers RTL-€ 6 connected to a USB 2.0 port and a Linux server. The facility we have done allows up to four bands of 2.5 MHz of bandwidth allocated to VHF and UHF frequencies centered on the use of radio amateurs and college Cubesat missions, sharing a vertical monopole antenna high bandwidth and splitter 4 outputs.

We have introduced the map coordinates of the ground station installed at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Granada.
